This is Georgia. Georgia showed up as a yearling heifer with a group of about 20 cows and calves that got away from a neighbor that lives up the road. They broke through the neighbors fence, came up the road and then broke through my fence and ended up in one of my pastures near my herd. We were able to get all of them except Georgia who was EXTREMELY wild at the time. She has since calmed way down by the way! I do not believe that she had ever seen a human, at least up close, until she saw us, and that was a very scary thing for her! the neighbor was tired of chasing her and told us we could keep her, sell her or shoot her for all they cared! She has blended into our herd very nicely! we are not sure what her breed is, but she has been with our fullblood bull since the end of June so she should be ready to have her first calf early spring and her calf will be a 50%. Like I said, she is a very calm now and should make a great cow. Vanzant MO.
