Meadowlark Farm

Meadowlark Farm is a regenerative South Poll cattle operation owned and operated by Scott and Shelley Allen and family. Located in Western Pennsylvania, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, the area has been been heavily impacted by years of coal mining. Our farm is no exception, having been both deep mined and surfaced mined in years past. This activity left a thin grassland surface devoid of organic matter. Through intensive rotational grazing management, however, we see vast improvements each year in the diversity of life both above and below the surface of the farm. Our partners in this endeavor are our South Poll cattle, who continue to impress with their ability to thrive in this environment, producing healthy and robust calves each year, and, nutrient dense grass feed and grass finished beef.
