Dewey Acres

Welcome to Dewey Acres! We are Aaron and Sonya New and we are embarking on our dream to farm the land once farmed by Aaron’s granddad (Gordon Dewey….hence the name). We invite you to follow along, learn, and laugh as we work through the school of hard knocks to figure out how to grow and raise as much of our own food as we can! We are passionate about improving the ingredients and nutritional value of the food we eat (spoiler alert….it’s all about the soil)! We strive to be good stewards of the resources we have been blessed with. Becoming “self-reliant” is certainly trending right now, but we find the more we try to do ourselves the more we realize we are fully reliant on God - apart from Him we can do nothing.
